BPI-Certified compostable PLA straws and lids are made from corn-based plastic and require 68% fewer fossil fuel resources to produce.  CPLA is plant based and manufactured with renewable resources which means it meets the standards for compostability and easy disposal.  They can be used with high heat applications and are FDA approved for food contact.
