Thoughts on White papers
I like these mostly because of what they don’t contain. There is not a lot of technical jargon within these readings. They can be understood by the average person who runs a business. You don’t have to be a techie geek to get something out of them.
Some of the solutions to eMarketing / eBranding might require the average business owner to outsource to have some of these activated. After reading the White Papers, the typical business person at least will know what to be seeking from the providers of such services. Some of the suggestions such as those related to domain name selection can be easily understood by the entrepreneur mind set .. not having a Masters degree in marketing .
These papers will allow the complete business novice to be aware of the components of ebusiness which they can take responsibility for. Those components alone won’t be enough to maximize the business potential. However, procedures & techniques the Whitepapers bring to the attention of the eBusiness novice, let them know what needs to be done. One area exemplifying this, is the whole area of SEO ( search engine optimization). The average business owner may not know how to do this but had better outsource that function or any startup will unfortunately, soon be a wind down. These resources are out there, they are not free but they need to be considered in the business model. The idea of “ build it and they will come” just does work with selling on the net. Build it, TELL THEM ABOUT IT, and they WILL come !
Richmond Advantages WhitePapers let you know this early in the game. Although I’ve discovered some of these nuggets by surviving over a decade with an “internet product”, an easier path might lie ahead for future entrepreneurs because of this monthly. They ought to read them, apply what they can and hire an expert to guide them through the rest.
WhitePapers .. .keep them coming,

... the White Papers that I've been receiving have been a wealth of information. It has helped me to get a better understanding of what it takes to be on the web, things to think about regarding the needs of a good web site among other things, as well as the Excel tutorials. That has been great in getting back into the program and learning lots of stuff. I thank you very much for everything.
The workshop with John Leahy at the Bras D'or Lakes Inn was fantastic. Learned lots and I am really looking forward and excited to the building of our web site. With the White Papers, the workshops that I have attended the discussions with you and Carla, I believe that I am not so nervous of the Internet. With each visit to the web, I am getting more comfortable. Thanks.
Sincerely,
